Thank you for the continued coverage, Adrian! You've enriched my life for many years through your team coverage, book signings, and even tickets to the WCF in 2000 (when I was just a 6th grader!). As I've grown into an adult, I've further appreciated the reader's lens into your personal and professional life. I presume it takes vulnerability, courage, and persistence to move forward in the face of criticism, especially in an age with a proclivity to quick judgment. That you've stuck to your guns and prioritized your values in your writing is also recognized and respected.
Coverage of the Colorado Avalanche is over-saturated. Though most publishers do a decent job of providing the basics, I don't need to read the same tweet six times over from six different sources who often recycle the team's PR releases. It's become a rat race amongst corporate publishers in Denver and detracts from meaningful journalistic coverage in favor of impressions and clicks. Unfortunately, it is a reflection of most consumer behavior and the business model in order to thrive.
A cerebral approach and focus on quality storytelling is an area of opportunity, and why I am happy to subscribe. You WILL find your niche of subscribers from your established base and those who desire more. I won't be surprised if others make a similar move.
Thanks Mark. I am still a news hound at heart, so I won't be short-changed on any "breaking news" of the Avs. But, yeah it's true: scoops don't matter as much as anymore. They last for about 30 seconds, before everybody else (my hand raised) copies it. So, I'll be backing off just a bit more from that kind of minutiae, and hopefully giving better quality, in depth-writing
You burn bridges like Cheech & Chong burn doobies. I’m sorry my guy, it’s time to move on from the Dater brand of coverage. BSN/DNVR has evolved too well to justify paying you a similar price as everything they have to offer. Thank you for everything.
Canceled CHN and hopped onboard here as you were the biggest reason I was on CHN. Have always loved your coverage, insight and knowledge of hockey and our one and only team - the Avs!!
Really proud of you and happy to subscribe!
You're the digital authority on Avalanche hockey. Always have been, always will be. Keep churning out content and we'll keep buying what you sell.
Thank you Vic, you’re a legend
AD, I went with you when you went to BSN, and also when you went to CHN, and I'm in for your new venture as well.
The best of the best, AD!
Will follow you anywhere AD! ..one question - does this mean mainly opinion pieces with no press credentials for access to Avs?

I'm looking forward to reading!

All the best Chris. I would dispute me actually the one who burned the bridge, but hey that's me
I like the old war (Blood Feud) stories! That's why we follow you, you are the O.G. of Avalanche coverage. Long live the D'Oh!

Thank you Karen
I’m on board. Couldn’t agree more about the Clickbait on CHN I could see it in a number of articles.
Im on board and looking forward to your continued coverage. I gotta ask, did you intentionally make the acronym of site Doh?
No I didn't lol. But that fits for me
Man I feel like James Woods in Family guy with the "Oooh! Piece of Candy! Oooh! Piece of Candy" skit following you around all these year's Dater.
Thank you for starting this. You are the print voice of the Avs.
Good for you Adrian. Shoot it to us straight and keep us in the inside loop.
Very glad for you AD (and for us - you are the best)
AD, will you still be credentialed for games?
