Glad you are feeling better AD. Pat did an amazing job. I think Justice (that is my nick name for him). Some call him juice. My opinion he has such a baby face. If he continues to do good with the Avs I do see him moving to the starting position in a few years. I do think other teams might have tried to sign him in the summer. He works very hard at practice when I have been there to watch. Actually both the Avs goalies do. Unfortunately I will miss your live chat tonight because I will be sitting section 104, row 3, seat 6.
Glad you are getting better, infections after surgeries are no fun. Had that happen to me a few years ago. As well as a fever spike 105+ after removal of a chemo drip pump that sent me to the ER and hospital for a week. Anyway, enough about my past. I was wondering if you think the jump in Annunen's play recently was helped along by coaching from Budaj or more likely spending more time up with the AVS and their goalie coach?
Just back from my New Zealand trip yesterday and catching up.
1st - glad you're feeling better AD.
2nd - agree with all the other posts, this site and thee chat are like a family to me now, can't imagine watching a AVS game without it. But that said you need to do what's best for you going forward and if that means you step away, I'd sure love to see Pat take over and keep it going.
3rd - good for Justus, I'm sure the fact that it's a one way contract helped keep the AAV down, and he just needs to continue to develop. AVS have one of the best goalie coaches in the league so he should be able to flourish.
I am glad you are doing better AD! Welcome back!!! Annunen deserves contract, good for him. Big kid looks like he blocks a lot of the net, good reflexes, probably starting to really develop his skill set. The Avalanche got to be better in front of the net regardless who is in goal is what I will watch for going forward but the Avalanche are cooking on all cylinders!!!
We got your back AD on wherever this journey takes you, and by that same note, Pat as well as we've come to love him as well. You've done a great thing here, and we want this site and chat to prosper, this is our family.
Great community you’ve built here Adrian and I’m proud to be a part of it. I’ve been praying for all your tests to come back clean! Hopefully kicking this infection is the last hurdle. Career-wise, of course you know what’s best for you, and your clock on how long this gig as a full time hockey writer and site maintainer will last is the only clock that counts, but I sure wouldn’t complain if you were to stick it out another season or 2.
Take it easy AD. I hope this site continues as it is my favorite and I quit the marginal other one! It’s fine with me if there are multiple writers and that the stories are every few days.
Good for Justus. Last night was tough to watch, in person, sadly. Let’s move on to our last 10 games, several with tough opponents and roar into the playoffs!
So glad to hear you’re feeling better, AD!!!!

Bless you Ted

Thanks Karen. Wow, glad you recovered from your ordeal. That's a good question, and one I will endeavor to find out more about.
Awesome, thanks Adrian. Enjoy your insights and knowledge as always! Take care of yourself.

By the way, great article!
Great news re Goalie 1B(A?) and great news regarding your health. Hope we all spend a lot of time with each other this spring!
