Typical Parros biased against the AVS, the amount of unpunished illegal hits against us the last few years is laughable and it seems if the AVS do go out of line on similar hits the whole book is thrown at them...
Eberle literally BROKE COGLIANO’S NECK and didn’t even get a hearing. George Parros is a bigger joke as the head of DoPS than he was during his career. He deserves to be kneecapped on the sidewalk outside league offices.
Fits in with the narrative that the league wants to see Seattle advance. DOPeS has always been, and remains, a useless and total joke, not in any way managing these events to ensure player safety, but controlled politically by NHL powers who have an agenda.
The NHL DoPS is a joke. It doesn’t surprise me one bit, everyone knew there wouldn’t be anything as a result of that hit. The NHL just makes it far too easy to accuse them of playing favorites. Eberle won’t see an ounce of payback as the Avs can’t risk taking a major for anything they’d do (which would be called for certain) or a suspension for the next round.
Has there been anyone suspended in the last decade for a hit on any Avs player? I can't recall anyone, do you Dater? You know if that was last years playoff and it involved Kadri, Kadri would be suspended for a very long time, same with Manson, and even babyface Makar, who would now be judged a "repeat" offender. It's laughable, but it sure is not funny. And there is absolutely NOTHING we or the Avs can do about it.
Minority opinion here - Eberle could have laid off the hit but I don’t see it as an intentionally dirty. Cogs very fortunate to escape without too much damage. He’s a beast!
What a joke. I knew this would happen. As soon as the refs said two and not five. That was far worse than the makar hit. Makar wasn't even try to injure. It was just late because he lot track of the puck. This was clear intent to injure and he succeeded. Shame on the department of player safety and parros for this.

If the NHL doesn't suspend Makar, the Eberle boarding is forgotten. Instead, it's a front & center example of hypocrisy.

Maybe because it's such a dangerous hit, boarding should be automatically assessed as a 5 minute major?

Evander Kane on Kadri ;)
All we can do is fume (again!) and watch the Avs kick their asses in game 7!!
DoPS is a friggin JOKE!

Just read Cogliano suffered a neck fracture. Not a great look for the league. No one can question Cogliano's character and heart. Best of luck to him!
Eberle should count his lucky stars that it's not 1975.
