That Arizona game the other night is really sketchy. I hate to even mention this, but, that's the kind of Shi* that gets coaches fired.

Totally love Jared, but...its either ownership (Dont think so), Management (Truth), or Coaching. Without a true Captain on the Ice, where is this headed? Anyways, good job Adrian and Pat.

It was interesting to listen to you guys. I don't know if "the identity" is what the problem is? I thought Avalanche hockey is speed. To me that is their identity and gives them an edge over others. What they don't do well is pay attention to details that Bednar knows will lose you hockey games: carelessness with the puck, forcing plays, lackadaisical effort wether in Arizona or Chicago.? .....I didn't realize that Byram felt that way about going home. To me he is a keeper and would hate to see him move but if that is the case and you are right AD. Then I would consider it. Despite his faults, he has an edge that the Avalanche don't have. I wonder if MacKinnon and Rantanen are really difficult to coach because they seem to me to make the same mistakes over and over despite their great skill? Otherwise, I think Cal is right. That kind of play gets coaches fired and that would be a shame because Bednar is the best thing that has happened to the Avalanche!

Liked the show. Would love Lindholm if they can get him to agree to an extension at like 8/~60. 2C has been a big issue for the team pre and post Kadri. Just solve the problem. Kadri at 7 looks kinda good now. Compher at 5.25 looks good. Just fix the dang problem.

Great talk guys !! I love seeing you guys have so much fun doing it. I know where Theo Fleury was a lot of the nights prior to having the flu, down here in Santa Fe drinking with Jon Klemm., lol. Enough said!

This podcast came through with epic timing. I was wondering if an episode was going to come along soon :). They are missing the singular voice in the room that sets the tone and standard for the team focus and goal. I love Pat's assessment of the current assistant captains - elite players who are great self-leaders but lacking in seeing the bigger picture of team leadership. It is incredibly hard to innately understand team needs which is what make Landeskog and Bednar so valued to the organization. Cale is the youngest and I think he could develop those skills over time.
