Yeah, Now I'm A Little Worried About Avalanche Of 2022-23

If all the injured guys would be back soon, I wouldn't be as much. But that seems questionable now too

The Colorado Avalanche lost 6-2 to the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight, and the game was not even REMOTELY that close on the scoreboard.

I maintain this much: I still would probably put my betting money on the Avalanche to come out of the West to represent for the Stanley Cup. Some of my conviction there is because I don’t think there is a really great team anywhere in the West still.

But entering the New Year? No, the Avalanche aren’t inspiring much confidence right now. And I’m sorry, but I’m tired of hearing about the injury excuse right now. It was 12 guys out not long ago. Now it’s about half that, and the Avs aren’t winning at all.

So, the injury excuse isn’t as valid anymore. The Avs are now NINE points back of Dallas in the division. If they don’t start cutting the gap soon, it might get out of hand and then you’re on the road for the first round or two of the playoffs - if they even make it. I think they will, but here are the reasons for worry:
