It is currently in the 8 o’clock hour here on the East Coast while I begin to write this, so many things can change by the time you read this. Hell, you might not even read this part as I might have to delete this whole section and start over again with changing developments.
But as of right now, I want to write about how last night was one of the craziest in Avalanche history in three different segments: The 7-3 win against San Jose, the mid-game trade acquisition of Brock Nelson from the Islanders and the possible trade of Mikko Rantanen from Carolina to Dallas.
It was a whirlwind of events from puck drop until my head hit the pillow at nearly 2 a.m. and then again when I woke up four hours later to confirm that I wasn't dreaming. So let’s look back at an historic evening in franchise history: March 7, 2025.
