We All Needed That Avalanche Performance Tonight
Makar and Nichushkin each pick up four points as Colorado rolls San Jose.

Cale Makar scored the game-winning goal 4:08 into the contest and the Colorado Avalanche never looked back as it rolled to a 6-0 victory Tuesday against the visiting San Jose Sharks.
A slump buster is just what this team needed after three-straight losses in a myriad of ways over the last week. But getting a bad team on the second-half of a back-to-back at home was what they needed and what they got as they kept their foot on the gas for 40 straight minutes before resting key players in the third in preparation for Thursday's battle with the Kings.
It just felt like a different Avs team than what we’ve seen lately. The 1-0 early lead was built upon, rather than sat on and squandered like Sunday’s game against Seattle. No. Makar scored and the Avs went right back to puck-possession dominance, adding two more before the end of the period with Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen capping off the all-star trio of goals.
