News: Avalanche acquire 33-year-old center Lars Eller from the Washington Capitals for a second-round draft pick in 2025.
Views: We’ll see if this qualifies as Chris MacFarland’s biggest move when it comes to addressing his center depth for the postseason. It could be that Eller is the new fourth-line center and another 2C acquisition awaits. Or, it could mean that J.T. Compher has won the 2C job moving forward and that Eller is more of a third-line center kind of guy.
