Well, that’s more like it. The Avalanche fall behind, but gradually take control of the game and go on to beat the Seattle Kraken on the road, 5-1 last night.

A great response after that 8-2 embarrassment at Ball Arena the other night to St. Louis.

Lots of positives in this one, starting with the fact that Jonathan Drouin scored his first goal as an Av and Tomas Tatar had two assists. Then, there’s the fact of Nathan MacKinnon getting three assists and Cale Makar getting a goal and assist.

Some other takeaways from the game:

  • As shown above, I thought Kurtis MacDermid fired up the boys some with that first-period fight with Jamie Oleksiak. Oleksiak is the guy who helped drive Artturi Lehkonen into the boards and injured him last week in Denver
