I felt great about the Avalanche’s chances going into the third period last night, tied 2-2 with Dallas. How about you?

Being down 3-1 definitely gives a “we got nothin’ to lose” vibe, and I just felt the Avs would come out loose and carefree for that third. The final score: Avs 5, Dallas 3. Back to Denver tomorrow for Game 6.

The Avs are 0-2 at home this series, and they looked uptight in both losses. Let’s hope his nothin’-to-lose demeanor stays with the Avs and they come out strong this time at home.

Cale Makar was the unquestioned No. 1 star in the game. Two goals in nearly 27 minutes of ice time for Cale. Alexandar Georgiev allowed three goals but made a lot of real good saves.
