Josh Manson. Nathan MacKinnon. Brock Nelson. Brett Heimlich.

Who had the best night in Colorado’s 8-2 pumping of the Ottawa Senators?

The easy answer is Manson, who authored a career night with a pair of goals, two assists for four points, a fight to complete the Gordie Howe Hat Trick, and was a sparkling plus-five.

MacKinnon bounced back from a pair of rough, pointless games in the Sunshine State with a goal and three helpers. Nelson scored twice and added an assist for a three-point night of his own. Hell, Cale Makar had a goal and three points and was almost forgotten amid the chaos created by his teammates.

It’s usually hard to pinpoint a turning point in a game that eventually becomes 8-1. This one was easy.
