Sam Girard's Days With Avs Likely Numbered

Avs need to restock draft picks

Sam Girard has done an awful lot of good things with the Avalanche, including being a regular defenseman on a championship team. But, yeah, I think his time with the Avs will soon be over.

Mind you, that’s more of an opinion at this point and not based on my usual dogged, uncanny, shoeleather reporting. But from what I have gathered from my vast network of hockey sources, there’s some smoke to this potential fire.
