SALVAS: Nathan MacKinnon's Season for the Ages
Can Nate Dogg break Peter Statsny's single-season QUE/COL record for points?
Ok, there’s eight games left in the regular season and a few things have already been decided.

But is it possible that Mack is en route to the best season by a player in the franchise’s entire lifespan, including its time in Quebec City?
With 127 points (47-87-127) this year, Joe Sakic’s 1995-96 record season of 120 points (51-69-120) has already fallen by the wayside. Could the 139 points (46-93-139) of Peter Stastny from the Nordiques' 1981-82 season be the next record to fall?
For a long time, the Sakic number from that first year in Denver seemed untouchable. I mean, Peter Forsberg won the Hart and Art Ross in 2003 thanks to a season in which he scored 106 points (29-77-106). Two years before that, Sakic was named the league’s MVP thanks to a 118-point campaign (54-64-118), missing out on the Art Ross as the league’s top scorer to Jaromir Jagr by just two points.
