Let’s jump right back into our game-by-game recap of the 2024-25 season with the second half!

42 | Jan. 8 | at Chicago Blackhawks | L, 1-3
What stood out: WHY DO WE STINK IN CHICAGO?? How memorable was this game? Do you remember Juuso Pärssinen scored in this game? Neither did I! Hell, I barely remember Juuso Pärssinen playing for the team, let alone scoring for it.

43 | Jan. 9 | at Minnesota Wild | W, 6-1
What stood out: This dominating performance came at a time period where Minnesota was the better team of the two. The Avs ended that belief this night in St. Paul with a five-goal win with six different scorers. Also: the best reaction of any goal from any player on any team all season also came in this game.

44 | Jan. 11 | at Winnipeg Jets | L, 0-3
What stood out: WHY CAN’T WE SCORE A GOAL IN WINNIPEG?? Another early goal at home for the Jets proved to be enough as Colorado cannot figure out how to play well in Manitoba.

45 | Jan. 14 | New York Rangers | W, 3-2 (OT)
What stood out: I love beating the Rangers. It’s even better when you beat the Rangers in heartbreaking fashion. Tell me if you’ve heard this before: Lehkonen scores last (1:13 remaining) and Toews scores in overtime. We have as many Cups in the last 36 months as the Blueshirts have in 85 years.
