Here we are. We made it. Opening Night.
The wait from one season to the next is always painful, no matter how the last one ended. But this offseason? This one hurt even more thanks to the way last season ended at the hands of our mortal enemies, led by a former friend.
And that’s not even mentioning how the previous season ended.
That’s all in the past now. This is going to be the year… again.
This is the strongest group the Avalanche have iced to start a season in the MacKinnon-Makar era. The 2022 Cup team came together at the trade deadline… this one is already built. Sure, there are question marks, but I like this group right now.
Add in the motivation of two bitter endings, and you’ve got a driven, hungry team ready to remind everyone who they are and what they’re capable of achieving.
