Obscure Avs Jerseys I Want... Today.

I have Sakic and MacKinnon, Forsberg and Makar... but I don't have a Hahl jersey.

I was in my office this morning, minding my own business, when one of my co-workers came in. Like most of my coworkers, he is a Bruins fan and wanted to talk about the off-season happenings so far. 

Unsurprisingly, he was still upset with the Tyler Bertuzzi signing in Toronto as he hates the Maple Leafs with the heat of a thousand suns. I reminded him that, although he was a different player, he still has some of the same genes of his uncle and it’s probably better not to have that stink on your team. 

Anyway, we started talking about other teams we liked besides the Avs and Bruins and he mentioned something about his brother rooting for the Ducks back in the day because of Paul Kariya and their connection to Maine. I said that one of the biggest regrets of my life was not getting a Kariya Avs jersey back in the day and he looked right through me. Come to find out, he had completely blocked out any recollection of the Kariya Era in Denver.

Long story short, I started to think about other players I wish I had Avalanche uniforms for. That’s today’s rambling list. 

But I want to focus on some of the lesser-known players. Look, I want every Joe Sakic and Peter Forsberg jersey, but this isn’t that list. This is a list of forgotten or fan favorites whose jerseys I would — without hesitation — wear at a game, the park, the mall, a wedding, a child’s birthday party, a casual day at work or any other place that would embarrass my wife.
