It appears that tonight is the night Big Val is set to return to the lineup.

Is there such a thing as a perfect sports month?

Not just for one team, but for a fanbase… or even for one deliriously happy fan?

Because for me, November 2025 is about as close as it gets.

Look, I know most of you only care about one-third of the teams I’m about to mention, so I’ll keep the focus where you want it: the Colorado Avalanche and their pristine 11-0-2 November.

But before diving in, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit I’ve been floating for days thanks to the other two members of my personal Mt. Rushmore: the Dartmouth men’s hockey team and the New England Patriots. Some of you will check out right here—Broncos fans satisfied with their own perfect 4-0 month, Pios fans scoffing at the peasants from Hanover who last played Denver in 2017 and somehow walked out of Magness with a wild come-from-behind 5–4 win. No big deal.

But I promise: those two teams won’t steal the spotlight for long.

You’re here for the Avs. So let’s talk about the Avs.
