MacKinnon's Career Night Caps Comeback Win vs. Sens
Nathan MacKinnon: Confirmed good hockey player.
Where to start?
This game had the same frustrating vibes all over it halfway through that the Chicago game had.
But Nathan MacKinnon hates those vibes. So he changed the tone.
The first four-goal game by any Avalanche player since the relocation in 1995 helped erase a two-goal deficit and lift the Colorado Avalanche to a 6-4 win against Ottawa Thursday night in front of a raucous crowd at Ball Arena.
For MacKinnon, two goals in the first period and another two in the third bookend a career night in which he also reached the 300-goal milestone. Add an incredible assist on the Mikko Rantanen game-winning tally and you’ve got the hottest player in the world going off for five points in a comeback victory that the Avs needed to have.
We got ‘Playoff MacKinnon’ four days before Christmas. The rest of the NHL should be on notice.
