Most of my longtime readers know I’m not a big numbers guy. It’s not because I’m old, it’s because I’ve always been bad at math and don’t understand most of it. Hey, I did get a B in a college algebra class once, but the fact that algebra is the highest level of mathematics I ever attained says it all.

So, I don’t do many “stats” stories, but here’s one. The Avs have sharply decreased the shots on goal allowed per game for a while now, and it is playing a big role in the team’s resurgence.
