POSITIVITY ALERT: If you’re coming here to read about all the things the Avalanche did wrong in Thursday’s 1-0 loss in Winnipeg… you’re going to be upset. This is a “Positive Patty” piece!

If you didn’t watch last night’s game after the opening 66 seconds, you didn’t miss much.

The best team in the league bested perhaps the most perplexing thanks to one goal scored by Winnipeg's Gabriel Vilardi just one minute and six seconds into the game.

And if you turned it off after the centering feed in the slot was deposited into the top of the net, you didn’t miss anything that impacted the final score or outcome.

You did miss a great game, though.

After surrendering a goal on the first shot of the game, Alexander Georgiev turned it around and was great the rest of the way. Unfortunately, Connor Hellebuyck was greater. After that goal, Georgive finished the game by stopping the next 27 shots for — by far — his best performance of the season. Hellebuyck, though, stopped all 35 shots faced the entire way.
