Landeskog Skating With Eagles: Another Great Stride Forward

The Sandlot is a classic baseball movie, but that line? It might as well be about Gabe Landeskog if he makes an improbable return to the ice at some point in the near future.
Over the past few weeks, Avalanche fans have ridden a wave of anticipation, desperately hoping to see our captain back where he belongs: on the ice and at practice, something we haven’t seen much of in the past three years.
Then, this morning, came a game-changing update. The Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Eagles both posted photos and clips showing Landeskog participating in an AHL practice. Typically, it’s the media — like the outstanding Brennan Vogt of MileHigh Hockey — who provide updates when Landeskog is skating or doing drills, not the team itself. So, seeing these posts directly from the organization feels different. It’s a shift in tone… and it’s encouraging.
