Before we get started, an apology is in order. Both Dater and I have been sick the last few days so the Devils game (a great performance by the Avs) didn’t get a recap. I was struggling at work yesterday in a professional development and didn’t get a stat pack up. I don’t know what got Old Man Dater, but the dreaded daycare cough found its way home with me and I have been struggling the last few days. My kids are having a joint birthday party Saturday morning, so I will probably be unlikely to get a Blues preview up, either. Life happens. Sorry, guys and gals.

GAME 12
Seattle 4, Avalanche 3
Ball Arena — Denver, Colorado

At least we scored a goal.

For the first time this season, the Colorado Avalanche scored a goal… and lost the game. After three lackluster efforts that led to shutout losses, it was time for the Avs to take a loss while putting up a fight.

Unfortunately that game came Thursday evening at home against the Seattle Kraken, dropping a 4-3 contest.
