Jared Bednar, the Avalanche’s head coach since 2016, will return for the 2026-27 season, NHL sources tell me.

Many in Avs fandom, and local media, have called for Bednar to be fired after the Avs were swept in four games to Vegas in the Western Conference finals. But that’s not how Avs upper management sees it.
