Instant Analysis: Landeskog Scores, Avs Dominate and Tie Series
Gabe Landeskog is all the way back.
Game 4 | April 26, 2025
Colorado 4, Dallas 0
Series Tied, 2-2
He’s back. And now everyone knows it.
The Avalanche were bogged down by the emotional weight of Gabe Landeskog’s return in an overtime loss in Game 3. But on Saturday night, they were shot out of a cannon by Landeskog’s energy — and his goal — in a dominant 4-0 Game 4 win.
Colorado tied the series, 2-2, with the Dallas Stars, never allowing the visitors to find their footing in a 4-0 victory. MacKenzie Blackwood earned his first career postseason shutout, but it was always about the guys in front of him, who peppered the Stars with 48 shots on goal.

The Avs now head back to Dallas with all the momentum, all the emotion, and all the belief that this series would already be over had they taken care of business in either overtime game. They didn’t, though, so this series is guaranteed to go at least six games. And frankly, no one should be complaining.
Now, onto the game observations:
