I Still Don't See Where Nazem Kadri Is Supposed To Fit In On This Team

Nazem Kadri has a three-game point streak (one assist in each) entering tonight’s Avalanche game with the team he was acquired from earlier this month, the Cal-GARY Flames. He’s got seven points (two goals) in 11 games with the Avs in his second tour with the hockey club.

He’s been playing like Nazem Kadri, in other words.

But I look at this Avs roster, and I still wonder: what is the best role for him on this team? He’s been centering a third line of late, with Ross Colton and Logan O’Connor. That’s a nice looking third line, by anyone’s estimation.

But what happens when Nicolas Roy comes back, which should be very soon? Roy was the third-line pivot before he went down with an upper-body injury. And, he was playing well. That was his role as advertised - third-line center.
