"How'd That Game Go Last Night? What Was the Score?"
Living amongst Bruins fans after an Avalanche loss... suuuuucks.
Like many of you, it’s been a rough day following yet another Avalanche loss last night.
Unlike many of you (unless you work with many of the fans in attendance last night), I have to deal with a black & yellow sea of Bruins fans today in-person as well as via text messages and Instagram DMs.
Losing to Boston is never good. Honestly, losing to anyone is never good. But living in New England — and only about an hour away from the city — this loss stings just a little bit more. What makes this one particularly bad is that it comes on the heels of three prior soul-crushing losses.
The silver lining? This 5-3 home defeat was by far our best performance of the young season so far! Which isn’t saying much considering how poorly the Avs played to start this one.
My coworkers and the kids in school know nothing about the Avalanche other than: Mr. Salvas loves them, they lost to the Bruins, and they stink right now. That’s it. They don’t care about anything beyond their own team from Causeway Street.
