Me: “Hey Google, play ‘Champagne Supernova’ by Oasis.”
Mrs. Salvas: “Why that song this morning?”
Me: “Supernovas are collapsing stars...”

...Long pause…

Mrs. Salvas: “What the hell is wrong with you?”
Me: “Where to start?”

And that is how you start your morning just a mere six hours after one of the biggest postseason comebacks in franchise history. Reveling in the win, while dancing on the grave of your vanquished rival.

But this was not done in an overconfident way.I was just enjoying Colorado’s 4-3 overtime Game 1 win with the family members who were all in bed by the time Miles Wood scored the winner in the early morning hours of the eastern time zone. This series is far from over as the Avalanche stole home ice from the Stars in spectacular fashion. But it’s okay to enjoy these victories a bit.

It wasn’t all dancing and singing during the game, however.
