The answer: no.

Not to dump on The Team With All Those Division Banners on their ceiling but, no, Quinn Hughes isn’t going to bring a Stanley Cup to Minnesota for the first time ever. Mind you: I think Hughes is a good player, and he will make the Wild’s power play and overall offense from the blue line better.

And, that matters a lot, especially in the playoffs. But, no, the Wild are still too many players away from being a real Cup contender, and they also gave up a lot to get the former Canuck.
