It’s late and I’m not medically well still at the moment, but I’ll just give freeform expressions on what I witnessed tonight, and the last six days:
Goaltending wasn’t the problem in this series, as some contorted themselves into knots trying to assign blame.
The problem was the Avs couldn’t score in this series. Not a single one of their four lines had a good show of it against Vegas.
YES. Jared Bednar is to blame for a good portion of that. Somehow, he didn’t adjust to the fact that a John Tortorella-coached team would layer their defensive structure, into a kind-of wave that always acted as a redundancy to any breakdown that might happen in the top-most layer.
