Happy day-after-an-Avs-win-over-Boston-Tuesday. I thought last night’s win for the Avs was important, more than your usual January game. The Bruins are a tough team, and they got out to the lead and are typically very tough to come back against. But come back the Avs did and got a nice 4-3 shootout win thanks to Valeri Nichushkin’s goal to end the shootout.

Drouin is getting a lot more trust from Jared Bednar. Just take a look at the score sheet from last night’s game for proof. Drouin played 28:16 in the game. That’s a career-high for him. Compare this to a month ago. He played 14:18 in a 6-5 win over Calgary Dec. 11., 14 minutes in a 5-1 win over Buffalo Dec. 13.
