LONDON, U.K. - Hello from across the pond. As most of you know on this here platform, I’m taking a week to visit London for the first time ever, with a two-night stay in Liverpool as well.
Yesterday, I walked the walk on Abbey Road, just like John, Paul, George and Ringo did many moons ago for an album cover of the same name. Today, I walked among the 5,000-year-old rocks of Stonehenge. But don’t think for a minute that I haven’t closely monitored our hockey team while here!
I can watch games just as easily from here as anywhere else in the world, so I watched all of the game against the Predators the other night on my six-hour flight from Boston to Heathrow Airport, and watched a fair amount of last night’s flatline performance against the St. Louis Bloooooooos.
Thus concluded a winless two-game divisional road trip in which the Avs scored two - count ‘em, two - goals. The Avs looked like a dreadfully dull hockey team in many of the 120 minutes, especially last night.
