Bednar: Lehkonen, Byram Back Tonight

On Jared Bednar’s weekly radio show on Altitude today, he had good news for Avs fans: Artturi Lehkonen, and Bo Byram, will return from the injured list and play tonight against the Washington Capitals.

That’s certainly welcome news, especially with regard to Lehkonen, the invaluable two-way forward who suffered a neck injury in November.

It sounds like he’ll start out on a second line.

“It’s as healthy as we’ve been all season,” Bednar told the radio program. “The only two guys up on the missing board are Landeskog and Nichushkin.”

The Avs have two games until the NHL All-Star break, tonight against the Caps and Friday at home against the Kings. Then they’ll be off all the way until Feb. 5.
