The first two games of the season are in the books and it is… not good for the Colorado Avalanche.
Well, it’s not alllllllll bad. The offense is averaging 4.00 goals per game! That’s the fifth-best mark in the league right now!
But at the other end of the ice, it’s flat-out embarrassing. The goalie situation right now is a wild place. The team defense isn’t stellar, but after watching that game against Columbus, the second and third Blue Jackets are on no one but Alexandar Georgiev.
And Justus Annunen hasn’t been much better in his two relief appearances to come in and try and salvage games for Jared Bednar’s crew against Vegas and Columbus.
