Avs Now Have Every Player Under Contract
But training camp should still have competition for a couple jobs
Who had money on Ben Meyers being the last Avalanche player to sign for the coming season? Whatever impasse the team and the youngster from the University of Minnesota today, with Meyers’ signature on a one-year, $775,000 contract.
Thus, there are no more “roster” players left unsigned. The Avs are a little more than $5 million over the cap right now, but they’ll soon be a little more than $2 million under the cap with Gabe Landeskog’s $7 million going on LTIR.
So, is the roster set?
I don’t think so.
