The record belongs to the Boston Bruins. Sixty-five wins and 135 points for the B’s, in 2022-23, under coach Jim Montgomery. No NHL team has ever had more wins or points than that. The final record was 65-12-5.

The Colorado Avalanche already have the five OT/SO losses, so to beat the Bruins’ record they’d have to win 50 of their final 60 games, to set the wins record at least. They could beat the points record with a final 60 of, say, 50-6-4.
