Avs Notebook: Landeskog Seems To Be Progressing
Plus, Erik Johnson may play soon, but Makar out tonight and 3 Best Bets
Gabe Landeskog, skating with the regular group today. Erik Johnson, skating with the regular group in a regular jersey.
Cue the Styx song, folks:
But, as we’ve come to condition ourselves all season: don’t get above your raisin’. No time to start thinking the worst is over for the Avs, health-wise. For all we know, a couple other guys will go down in tonight’s match with the Chicago Blackhawks (7 p.m.).

But Landy skating with the regular team today at the morning skate was a good thing. As far as I hear, the Avs are very hopeful of getting him back before the playoffs, or at least for Game 1.
Erik Johnson’s quicker-than-expected recovery certainly is good news. Here’s a question though: would he even crack the lineup right now? The Avs are playing GREAT defensive hockey, so why mess with success?
