It’s been a wild day. Dater is traveling, I’m working and we’ve had some major wind storms today that have trees down all over the place causing widespread power outages. But, like the Avalanche execs, we press on.

Avalanche Receive: Charlie Coyle and 5th-round pick in 2026
Bruins Receive: Casey Mittelstadt, Will Zellers (2024 pick) and a 2nd-round pick in 2025
Instant analysis: I like it. Mittelstadt was not fitting in at 2C for Colorado. When the team made the move for Brock Nelson last night, you had to know that he would slot into the 2C role and Mittelstadt’s days in that role were numbered. The problem for Casey remaining with the Avalanche is that he’s not really built to be the 3C on this team, too.
