Avs Getting By On Injury Excuse - For Now

I was planning on really getting the poison pen out for this take. Avs lose the second of home back-to-backs, against Chicago and Tampa Bay, last night and I thought the roster decisions by Jared Bednar were … curious at best.

But it’s just too hard to really rip on this team right now still. Against a good Lightning bunch last night, the Avs were missing SIX of their top nine forwards. It’s just the truth that this is a MAJOR factor why wins are hard to come by right now.

You don’t make fun of the handicapped, you don’t make fun of people down in the ditch. These are millionaire athletes leading charmed lives, so I don’t spare the rod when it comes to them playing terrible hockey. They’re big boys, this is the big league, and they can take it.
