Avs Get Ryan Lindgren in Trade with Rangers
5 players (including CDH!) and 2 picks moved in East/West deal.

And for those of you who follow along during the in-game chats we host, you know how much I love Calvin de Haan (facetiously or not is irrelevant). So this hurts.
But… I think the Avs get better with this one. Let’s look at it.
Colorado Avalanche acquire:
Ryan Lindgren | D
Jimmy Vesey | F
Hank Kempf | D (Cornell prospect)
New York Rangers acquire:
Juuso Parssinen | F
Calvin de Haan | D
2025 2nd round pick
2025 4th round pick
The big piece here is Lindgren and he’s going to Denver. He carries a $4.5 million cap hit with the Rangers seemingly retaining 50% of his salary in the move. He is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season with the same being true for Vesey — a former Hobey Baker winner at Harvard where he just missed playing with Jack Drury by two years — who carries an $800,000 figure and is up at the end of the year.
