Let’s do an Avalanche Mailbag here. I posted a current photo of myself for this.

Free agent signing: Max Pacioretty or Patrick Kane. Trade acquisition: Jeff Carter.

Pacioretty is coming of a torn achilles, and Kane is likely to have some kind of hip procedure, if he hasn’t had it already. But I’d certainly gamble on either one as a free-agent signing.

Jeff Carter? Yeah, he’s old, but can still score. I think the Pens want to trade him. He might be a decent one-year kind of guy.
