It was just Game No. 34 on the schedule, with 48 more to go before the “real” season begins. But, given such modest declarations, last night’s 4-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks felt like a big one to me.
The first reason, of course: MacKenzie Blackwood outplayed Alexandar Georgiev in the win. B-Dub made 32 saves, while the Avs scored four times on 31 shots on Georgie. It was not an easy game, though.
